Old part numbers can differ from new

I needed a left auto ventshade visor on a 2004 ford truck (I broke the old one). I ordered the same number as was on the old vents and the new one with that same number didn't fit too good but I made it work (it was like 3/16 too long - you could tell it was molded with a different mold). It's a good thing I didn't need the right one because it was broken in the package so I just threw it away. The color on the new one is also a little off but it's not very noticeable. Be careful if you're replacing a broken vent visor because the same number may not fit as well. I think if you treat it as a new install you will get the correct fit and the new part number may be different.
