Definitely a good buy

For fear of rust, I didn't want to punch a bunch of holes in my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited (with 150 miles on it). This was a great alternative. It definitely helps with rocks and bugs (and even a bit with rain). They still occasionally hit the top 5th of my windshield but this definitely helps! Looks great and is surprisingly secure. On that note, be very sure you have it lined up well when you apply it. This thing is not going to come off to be repositioned...As I said, the 3M tape holds better than I could have imagined!! Definitely recommended

Worth it!

I received the item fairly quickly. No damage. I put this on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Installation was very simple. Three install options: adhesive tape, screw-on, or both. I used adhesive tape only and it works like a champ--no problems. I used a wet cloth to clean the contact points. Then I used the alcohol wipes provided with the product. Before you install the tape on the guard, dry-run your placement. Once it's on, you don't want to remove it to re-stick. The guard fits perfectly along a groove just under the hood--fits like a puzzle piece. The tape keeps it in place. When the hood is shut, it's held even more securely. It will not fly off. There was no need to use the screws. I've done local driving and took it across three states. Still secure. Installation is cake - 5 star installation.
Overall the product gets 4 stars. I was hoping it would redirect the wind to eliminate bug splatter. However, the bugs still hit my windshield. The big question is: wo uld it be worse without the guard? I can't say without removing the guard and doing a few test runs. My guess is that it would be worse without it. I remember a lot more bugs pre-install. So, it didn't eliminate 100% but I think it helps.

Nice design; Looks good!

I recieved this bug deflector quickly and installed it in about two minutes. It was a perfect fit and really enhances the look of my Jeep Wrangler. I would recommend this product!!
